Maxt Offroad

The situation

Buying accessories for a side-by-side is a fitment problem before it is a shopping problem. A cargo rack cut for a Polaris RZR does not bolt to a Can-Am Defender, and the wrong part means a return, a restock fee, and a rider who does not come back. Most UTV parts stores bury fitment in a spec table nobody reads and then eat the returns. Maxt Offroad, a store MaxtDesign owns and operates, is built to solve that at the front door: pick your machine first, then see only the gear that actually fits it.

It is also a proving ground. We built Maxt Offroad as a real ecommerce business on our own WooCommerce plugin suite, both to run it and to prove the suite in production on a store we stand behind.

The build

Custom WordPress and WooCommerce, top to bottom. The theme is a bespoke build, a pixel-level conversion of a design reference with no page builder anywhere in the structural templates, held to the MaxtDesign zero-footprint standard: self-hosted fonts, conditional versioned CSS, and no third-party front-end HTTP beyond what commerce actually needs. Even analytics is wired into the theme rather than bolted on as a plugin, so page weight stays honest.

The catalog is a multi-brand dealer inventory, hundreds of published SKUs across brands like Kemimoto, Tusk, RotoPax, and Wavian, loaded through an idempotent import pipeline that dedupes by source hash, so re-syncing a distributor feed never duplicates a product or overwrites a hand edit. Nothing reaches a public grid, the sitemap, product schema, or a checkout-eligible state without passing an operator review and a set of evidence gates, and the build environment stays login-walled and noindexed until a launch is a deliberate act.

The plugin suite

This is where Maxt Offroad earns the top spot. The store runs on MaxtDesign's own suite of WooCommerce plugins, not a rented stack of third-party add-ons:

- **Fitment (YMM)** drives the whole shop-by-machine experience: the year, make, and model garage, per-product fitment mapping, and the "does this fit mine" answer on every product page. - **Shipping** pulls live carrier rates and combines them per brand, so an order that ships from more than one warehouse still quotes one correct rate. - **Brand Catalog** is a manufacturer hub: partner logins for each brand, per-brand shipping terms and warranty surfaces, and a clean read API. - **Search** indexes products and guides together. **Media Manager**, **PDF Viewer**, **Signal** (first-party behavioral analytics on our own infrastructure), and **Cookie Consent** (real Google Consent Mode v2 that actually gates analytics until the visitor opts in) round out the surface.

Every one of those is a MaxtDesign product with its own repo and roadmap. The store is the live proof that the suite composes into a full commerce experience.

The commerce

Checkout is a modern WooCommerce buy box: express wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay) at the top, card beneath, Stripe end to end, on WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage. Add a US tax engine, a free-shipping threshold, brand-balanced merchandising so the homepage never collapses to a single brand, a fully branded account and login flow where the stock WordPress screens are never seen, and a sitewide vehicle bar that keeps the rider's machine in context as they browse. Analytics runs on GA4 and Search Console alongside first-party Signal, all consent-gated.

Why it is the one

Maxt Offroad is the most complete build in this portfolio because it is a whole business, not a page. It is a live, public WooCommerce store engineered to run without us: every product gated by review, every rate quoted live, every brand a managed partner, and the entire commerce surface powered by software we wrote and maintain. It is the clearest single answer to what MaxtDesign does when the brief is to build the whole thing.
