Accessibility & Compliance
1 in 4 adults has a disability. ADA lawsuits are at record highs. The European Accessibility Act takes effect in 2025. Accessibility isn't optional — it's a business requirement.
Why Now
The Legal Landscape Is Changing
Accessibility compliance is no longer a nice-to-have. Regulation and enforcement are accelerating globally.
ADA lawsuits hit record highs
Over 4,000 ADA web accessibility lawsuits were filed in 2023 alone. The trend is accelerating, not slowing.
European Accessibility Act (June 2025)
The EAA requires digital products and services to meet accessibility standards. Non-compliance means losing access to the EU market.
DOJ confirms: websites are covered
The Department of Justice has repeatedly affirmed that the ADA applies to websites. There is no exemption for small businesses.

Sample Audit Excerpt
What an Audit Actually Looks Like
A short slice from the kind of WCAG 2.1 AA audit we ship to clients. The full document runs 20-40 pages depending on site size.
Finding 14 · Severity: Blocker
Form fields lack programmatic labels (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2)
Three forms on the contact and signup flows render label text visually but use placeholder-only patterns without an associated <label for> or aria-labelledby. Screen readers announce the field as "edit text, blank".
Fix: associate every input with a visible <label>; remove placeholder-as-label patterns. Estimated effort: 30 min.
Finding 15 · Severity: Major
Insufficient colour contrast on muted UI text (WCAG 1.4.3)
Helper-text grey at #9aa1ae on a #fefefe background measures 3.2:1 — below the 4.5:1 minimum for body text. Affects ~14 instances across the site.
Fix: shift the muted-text token to #5e6573 (5.0:1). Estimated effort: 15 min for the token, 2 hr regression sweep.
Finding 16 · Severity: Minor
Skip-to-main-content link present and functional
Tested across keyboard nav. Behaves correctly. Note this as a control — many sites we audit are missing this entirely.
