The Bundle tab

Every product with the Bundle type gets a Bundle tab in the Product data box. This is where the kit is authored:

  • Items: search your catalog and add products to the kit. Each item is a real product; it keeps its own SKU, stock, and price.
  • Variations: to bundle a specific variation of a variable product, pick that variation. The customer always receives exactly the variation you pinned.
  • Quantity: how many of each item one kit contains. A kit can include, say, five brackets and one rail.
  • Locked or adjustable: each item's quantity is locked by default. Unlock an item to let customers raise or lower it on the product page.
  • Order: arrange items in the order you want them displayed.
  • Pricing modes

    Choose one mode per bundle:

  • Sum of items: the bundle costs exactly what its items add up to. Good for pure convenience kits.
  • Fixed price: one price for the kit, whatever the items cost individually.
  • Discount off the sum: a percent or fixed amount off the item total. The discount is spread across the real component lines with penny reconciliation, so tax is calculated on true line prices and the totals reconcile exactly.
  • Per-item override: set a custom price for individual items inside this bundle, without touching their standalone prices.
  • When the bundle price is lower than the sum of its items, the product page shows a "you save" line with the difference. When it is not, the line hides itself.

    Bundle Display settings

Go to MaxtDesign → Bundle Display to control how kit contents render on the product page:

  • Layout: a compact list (default) or an image grid
  • Thumbnails: show each item's product image, lazy-loaded
  • View links: a per-item link to the component's own product page, opening in a new tab
  • Quick view: an image lightbox on thumbnail click. Off by default; enabling it loads the lightbox assets only on bundle pages
  • Savings line: show or hide the "you save" line
  • These are site-wide display settings; the kit contents themselves are always authored per product in the Bundle tab.
