Installation

Note: US Maps is in review on WordPress.org right now. Once it is approved, you will install it from your WordPress dashboard using the steps below. Until then, reach out from the contact page and we will send you the latest build.

Automatic Installation (Recommended)

  • 1.Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  • 2.Go to Plugins → Add New
  • 3.Search for "MaxtDesign US Maps"
  • 4.Click Install Now, then Activate
  • 5.A new US Maps menu appears in the admin sidebar

    • Manual Installation

  • 1.Download the plugin ZIP from WordPress.org
  • 2.Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  • 3.Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now
  • 4.Click Activate Plugin

    • Create your first map

  • 1.Go to US Maps → Add Map
  • 2.Pick a pack: US States (50 plus DC) or US Federal Regions (10)
  • 3.Click any area to set its color, link, target, and tooltip
  • 4.Click Publish

    • A brand-new map works with zero setup: until you customize it, it renders a default US states map that follows your site-wide colors.

    Add a map to a page

    Use the MaxtDesign Map block (search "US Maps" in the block inserter) and pick your map, or drop the shortcode anywhere:

    [md_usmaps id="123"]

    Replace 123 with your map's ID, shown in the map editor.
